Did you know that Nigeria has more than TWENTY (20) waterfalls?! I bet not! I wrote about it in THIS POST, and I guess the reason why you do not know is because our tourist attractions in Nigeria are under represented on the media, in other words “little promotion” is done on these attractions. While some are either yet to be discovered or it is difficult to locate.

We will be there shortly!!That was the ringtone my Tour guide kept singing to my ears after 1hr of boarding a bus at keffi.( I don’t trust this kind of people).

I thought you said it’s just 45minutes, why does it feels like I am going to spend the whole day on the road ! I replied.

I wasn’t tired, Far from it! I was in anticipation of the falls, I have read a lot about it and I couldn’t wait to see it. It was the first on my bucket list of chasing waterfalls because I knew it was going to set high standards for the rest.

Lo and behold!! See me blushing away and singing praises to God.

“How wonderful you’re,and the works of thy hands”.

If you’re a lover of nature, why have you not visited the gorgeous farin ruwa yet?

So spontaneous in its own magic, the waves, the water so pure and cold.

Gushing down from the mountain with such wonders. It felt like I could see the source as I climbed the rocks to the top but isn’t that the beauty of waterfalls!

The unsolved puzzle.

Farin ruwa is a sight to see, it was a struggle getting there (should we blame this on the government?)story for another day.

It was worth it, all the stress and worries about being attacked by wild animals was worth it.

If you haven’t you should visit to see it’s beauty.

The waves of the water is rhythmical, I was literally dancing without sounds The vicinity is so serene, I didn’t want to leave. “Should I go get you a bed” my tour guide teased lol

If you love adventure, Farin ruwa will make you love it more.

You can swim at the depth of the fall, isn’t that sweet (natural waters gracing your skin).

Well! I would love to visit again but this time not as a solo traveler, but as a group.

Tips:

  1. Go with a trusted team or friends
  2. Get a lot of water, it’s a 30 minutes walk to the fall.
  3. The rocks are a bit slippery , you want to be careful while climbing.
  4. No entrance fee

Comment if you would like to visit the waterfall!!

True that ! Difficult road often lead to beautiful destinations.
If only we can improve on our infrastructures, Nigeria would be one of the top ranking countries when it comes to tourism and culture.
I’m hoping still and I am positive that we will get there..
Thanks for the feature darling, I’m honored to share this beautiful experience.
