This is my first hotel review, and I’m basically going to be sharing with you my experience at the hotel. I lodged at Radisson Blu for the Christmas Holiday in 2016. I have shared a Vlog about this on Youtube, most of the videos were made with my phone, and most of the pictures were also taken with my phone, I seriously need to get a camera.

Radisson Blu is a 5 star hotel located in Victoria Island Lagos,Nigeria.

Its funny how my brothers didn’t even know there was a hotel called Radisson Blu before last Christmas, so they were a little hesitant about visiting the hotel, but we enjoyed our stay.

This is my review!

Room:

My room was in the business class lounge, and I had a lovely view of the lagoon from my room. I was there with my family for three nights only. The room was lovely and big enough for two, the mattress was awesome, it was soo soft, even though I hardly got to lay on it when I really wanted to because I was always at the window side with my laptop working on my blog.  Although I have to point out that the lightening in the room was an issue, it wasn’t so bright. It might have just been a problem my room alone was facing though, I wouldn’t know.

Room Service:

We never really ordered anything in the hotel because of the cost, but I noticed whenever we were done with breakfast and head back upstairs to our rooms, it would have been cleaned up manageable before we return. I’m pointing this out because this is not always the case in every hotel, some clean up while we are present. So I think it is a good thing that our rooms were being taken care of while we were away, and NOTHING was stolen.

Food:

The only time we ate in the hotel was during breakfast, which I was always late for, because I sleep and wake up late. I sleep late because I’m up all night getting the blog content. So by the time I’m downstairs for breakfast, most of the food had finished. The Breakfast was usually alright.

Pool:

The hotel had an awesome pool view, it was right next to the lagoon. I thought the sight was beautiful. I can’t swim, so I didn’t swim, but I know the pool wasn’t so deep, because my brothers could stand in it, with quarter of their body out.

Gym:

The gym was well equipped, I went there the first day with the fam, but it was already locked, because we went there really late, so I told one of my brothers that we have to wake up next morning to gym and make sure we use their facilities, but bruh! We never visited the gym again, sleep took the best of our mornings. We love SLEEP, haha! And our days were usually busy, so no time for gym. Therefore I cant really give a full review on that, but the gym is well equipped and their facilities looked good.

Security:

The security at the hotel was pretty tight! There were security men at major locations and in other to gain access into some areas where the security men weren’t located, you would have to be given an access card.

Parking:

Parking in the hotel wasn’t always easy, but it was organized.

Spa:

Oh my, I didn’t even know there was a spa, you can guess why…. yes I was always on my system blogging in the room. I didn’t really have the time to explore round. I recently just found out, when I revisited Radisson Blu.

To be sincere, I had very high expectations, mostly because of the standard of hotels I have been to in the past and also because of the hotel’s brand name. Because I experienced a few buts, apart from when I was rudely approached by one of the staff in the hotel. Overall though, I had a lovely experience, I mean there was free wifi! And the environment was beautiful and lovely.

Since I had a lovely experience at Radisson Blu, I decided to share a little bit of that experience by having a Radisson Blu giveaway. So I partnered with a Youtuber named Adetomi on the VALENTINE GIVEAWAY  and a number of people engaged with the rules attached to the giveaway, below is the picture of the couple that emerged the winner.

The give away price was a dinner buffet at Radisson Blu.

His name is Tayo and he took his sister out on a dinner for her birthday which happened to be on the valentine weekend.

So Radisson Blu would be a good place to take your mothers to in celebration of Mothers day which was yesterday, so as to appreciate her for all her effort. Trust me she would love you more. Happy Mother’s Day in arrears to all mothers, and potential mothers.. lol. 🙂
